Men In Black 3

The MIB are back – bigger than ever!  Yup, movie sequels usually have a hard time living up to expectation, but if you were a fan of 1997’s Men in Black, don’t waste time and grab your ticket for 2012’ s Men in Black  (and yes, we left out 2002’s Men in Black II intentionally here. There had to be at least one oopsie in the series!).

Join Will Smith's Agent J as he travels back in time to MIB's early years in the 60's to stop an alien from assassinating his friend, Tommy Lee Jones' Agent K, and change history! Young K is played by Josh Brolin (True Grit, Jonah Hex) who got some rave reviews for his performance.

The alien bad guy trying to rid the world of Agent K is the awesomely hilarious Jemaine Clement as Boris the Animal, who grabs some time-travel tech that’s conveniently lying about and hops back to 1969, to warn his former self on how to escape K’s clutches!

There is a  big punch to this is in the ending, which will have you close to tears if you can stand it – but we promise some big guns, lots of alien shooting action and many funny moments!

The Vow

Well girls, it's here. The ideal excuse for a girls movie night! From the directors of the Notebook we get The Vow - funny, sad, loving. If you loved the Notebook then go. Now. Hurry! If you didn't, then I suggest you stay clear. This is chick-flik central!

It's all around a newly wed couple, Paige and Leo (Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum), who face the unthinkable when a  car accident puts Paige in a coma, and when she wakes up with memory loss, her husband Leo (Tatum) works to win her heart again.

The romantic in us is giving this one 5 thumbs up!

Think Like a Man

Based on Steve Harvey's best-selling book, Think Like a Man follows four women who have given up on getting their men to do what they want. THEN they find Steve Harvey's 'how to book' and they start  using his advice about relationships to get their men in-line.... until of course the guys catch onto the secrete!

True, the movies is a bit like a sales pitch for Steve Harvey's book, but it's funny and if you like this kind of thing a good night out. At times the story was also dragged out a bit, which was disappointing because of the awesome cast on board for the movie!

3 thumbs up!
